When I went to Colorado in August 2020, it wasn't to photograph horses, but rather to go to my sister's wedding. Covid had made a mess of all her plans, and her original venue was closed. At the last minute, she managed to find this ranch that had availability on the date she needed, and it couldn't have worked out better. It's one of, if not the most beautiful place I've ever been, and the presence of horses was an added bonus, coupled with the magnificent landscape, moody clouds, and smoke in the air from a nearby wildfire. It was a wonderful backdrop for a wedding (and the sun decided to come out in time for the ceremony, as well). I just wish I'd taken more photos of the horses while I was there!
